Meet Libby Owner, Principal Designer
I started my interior design firm, Sharp & Grey Interiors, with the idea that home creates your happiness. To that point, it had certainly always been mine. Having been in corporate marketing for almost 20 years, my home was my everything. My creative outlet, my family center, my sanctuary. A place that I could leave every morning feeling spirited and upbeat, and then wrap around me like a soft throw once I was home safe and shoes-off at the end of a long day.
And then life changed. And me with it. We moved from our longtime home in Colorado to Philadelphia, where we purchased a historic home. My brain had started spinning the second we laid eyes on the interior. It was the kind of interior design project I’d always dreamed of taking from start to finish: a historic East Coast home to make my own. I set about injecting it with my own sense of collected style to feel fresh yet lived in, expressive of the life we’d lived out West yet still retaining its sense of place and history.
The entire experience felt more than just natural, it was therapeutic. What’s more, my marketing career had more than prepared me for the highly organized world of full-service design, where I would constantly coordinate and manage innumerable moving parts and people.
So I started taking design classes and creating designs for a growing client list. Now, with my own Philadelphia residential design firm, Sharp + Grey Interiors, I help people design homes that feel as quintessentially them as my own home feels like “us.”
Meet the Team
▾ Maureen Springer, Designer
A native of Philadelphia, Maureen grew up surrounded by the city’s beautiful and historic architecture. She studied Historic Preservation and Art History as an undergrad and has always felt a deep appreciation for beautiful spaces. As a seasoned retail professional with 20 years experience in retail operations, product development, and brand marketing, she has significant experience with project management, vendor negotiations, and financial planning. Her professional experience has shaped the way she approaches a design project, bringing the highest level of professionalism, attention to detail, and fiscal accountability to the table. She believes space should be a unique and thoughtfully curated reflection of a client’s taste and lifestyle and that her job as a designer is also as a story teller… to tell the story of a space and the people who call it home. She holds a certification in Interior Architecture from Moore College of Art and Design. In her spare time, she loves to garden and cook, does yoga and ballet, and enjoys spending time with her family, two bengal cats, and their very spoiled Irish Doodle puppy.
▾ Kristin Loscalzo, Project Coordinator
Kristin has always had a fondness for interior design, so when the opportunity presented itself to join Sharp & Grey, she jumped at the chance. After working in the pharmaceutical marketing space for years, starting as a receptionist and working her way up to Account Executive, she honed her organizational and customer service skills. As Project Coordinator, Kristin is here to keep projects organized and running smoothly from start to finish.
