For example, in one of our whole-home projects “Main Line Classic Modern Project,”we reconfigured the entire forest floor to expand and transform an outdated kitchen from the 1960’s into an open, classic space by removing the wall between the original kitchen and dining room. This created a large cased opening that seamlessly connected the living room, effectively doubling the kitchen area.

Now the kitchen footprint has doubled and includes a huge island with seating for six. We added a large bank of windows to bring in all the light, and a timeless blend of soft white cabinetry and white oak, paired with beautiful natural stone countertops, handmade zellige tile, and brass fixtures. By handling all aspects of the renovation—from selecting materials to overseeing construction—we ensure a smooth process from start to finish, resulting in a kitchen that is both sophisticated and functional.

For instance, in our “Main Line Classic Modern Project” above, we transformed not only the living room but the entire living space by thoughtfully opening it up to the kitchen and entry to create a bright and welcoming space. Although the living room's size didn't change, our strategic floor plan and carefully chosen furnishings made it feel much larger and more functional.

A mix of a dark casual slip-covered sofa and a more tailored light-colored sofa kept the space feeling collected, and refined yet casual—an inviting area that encourages you to sit and stay awhile. Two beautiful leather swivel chairs added warmth and texture, allowing family members to be part of the conversation in the kitchen. The homeowners wanted to move away from heavy traditional furnishings toward something lighter, welcoming, and more modern. We introduced fresh, clean-lined furniture and soft performance textiles made for families, centered around a classic color palette with pops of warmth.

For example, in one of our recent projects, we transformed an outdated washroom into a serene modern cottage bathroom by incorporating contemporary tile, shiplap walls, and a custom vanity created by Village Handcrafted, a local Philadelphia favorite. This custom vanity, designed to resemble a piece of furniture, features slab inset drawers that maximize storage in a compact space. Painted in Farrow and Ball Light Gray—a taupe/green/greige hue—it complements the room’s textured surfaces and shades of white, creating a bathroom that feels both inviting and harmoniously integrated with the home’s overall aesthetic.
